Recently we’ve received multiple reports of phone calls from scammers posing as InterBank employees. The calls are showing up on caller ID as “InterBank” with one of our legitimate phone numbers. The scammers are asking for debit card/account numbers, and if our customers give this information to them, they make fraudulent withdrawals. InterBank will never ask for your full debit card number and/or the 3-digit code on the back of the card, or personal information such as passwords or Social Security numbers. If you receive a suspicious call, hang up and contact your local branch or account officer immediately and avoid calling back any number provided to you by the person who called.
