Frank Merrick
1956–2024
On Sunday, October 13, 2024, Frank Merrick, our Interbank Board Chairman and friend, passed away in Oklahoma City, OK after a brief hospitalization.
Frank’s connections to our bank go back decades through his family in West Texas. He served ably as our Chairman and was of great assistance to us in all of our endeavors. He was particularly enthusiastic about InterBank’s community development efforts in both Oklahoma and Texas, and was of invaluable assistance to us in that work.
Frank was President of Foundation Management in Oklahoma City, where he worked closely with many family foundations and public charities. His passion for community service manifested itself through membership on many boards and committees. He channeled his energy toward critical efforts, including health care, art, the provision of low income housing, and assisting the homeless. He was a pillar of his community, and a pillar of ours.
Frank was a graduate of Oklahoma State University, where he earned a degree in business administration. He is survived by his wife Debbi, and I hope you will join us in keeping her and all of his family in your prayers.
Frank had a big and influential voice in every sense of the word. He always gave sound guidance, advice, and counsel. We will miss him.
